St. Joe’s / St. Paul’s Track Meet -Drop-Off and Dismissal Reminders

This is a reminder that ALL students in Grades 3-7 must be dropped off at the Minoru Park Track Oval on Monday, May 14, at 8:45am.  This track and field event is a school activity that involves all Grades 3-7 students, regardless of whether or not they have joined the track club.

Pick-up at Minoru Track after the event ends is at 1:45pm.  Please ensure you pick up your child(ren) at 1:45, or make arrangements to have them transported.

School dismissal for Kindergarten – Grade 2 students will be at 2:00pm (see permission slip for details).  Again, this 2pm school dismissal is to allow for travel time (if needed) between Minoru track and St. Joe’s.

For those parents who need to drop off their K-2 children before heading to Minoru Track in the morning, there is school outdoor supervision starting at 8:30am, so you may drop your younger children off first, before heading to Minoru for 8:45am.

Thank you and let’s pray for continued beautiful weather for this exciting annual Richmond Catholic Schools’ Event!

Revised Track Schedule

Here is the REVISED Track Schedule for May 7th to June 6th.

Sorry for the mix up.

Spring Maintenance (May 12) and Bottle Drive Information

Two important updates:

1)  The Grade 7 Destination Imagination Team is holding a week-long bottle drive.  Simply leave your bagged empties at the front of the school all week long and the DI team will sort and recycle them. Thank you for your support!

2) Our Spring Maintenance Day will be held this Saturday, May 12.  If you are looking for Parent Participation hours, this is a great way to get several hours in, and help the school at the same time.  Previous maintenance experience is not necessary. Please contact the school office if you are available, or contact Frank Kis-Toth (PEC Maintenance) directly at: fkistoth@shaw.ca

Reminders: PJ and Stuffy Dress Down and evening Art Fair Tomorrow!

This is a reminder that tomorrow is our annual p.j. n’ stuffed animal dress-down day.  Students do not need to bring money in for this dress-down.    (If you are involved in high jump practice tomorrow, please remember to bring track clothing as well!)

ALSO –  tomorrow evening is our Art Extravaganza!  From 6:30pm – 7:30pm, the school hallways will be open for families to view the beautiful art that students have been working on during  the year.  Cupcakes and juice will be for sale, with proceeds benefitting our Destination Imagination Team’s trip to their global competition in Tennessee (see newsletter for more details on both these events).
