Dear Parents,

Today is my last day as your child’s teacher!  It is hard to believe this day has already arrived.

Thank you so much for all of your support.  It’s been a great term and I have enjoyed getting to know both you and your children.

Yesterday Mr. Whelan was in the class all day to shadow me and get to know the class routines. He will do the same today.   I was very fortunate to have the chance to talk to him, share information and see him interact with the class.   Having done so, I feel very confident that the class will be in capable hands come January.  When Mr. Whelan met the class and answered their questions, he had a wonderful way with them.  He is sharp, confident, quick on his feet, and ready to go.  Whew!  Now I can enjoy my maternity leave!

If you would like to meet Mr. Whelan, he will be shadowing me all day again today and will be with me in the classroom after school.  If you would like to meet him, please don’t hesitate to drop by the classroom when you pick up your child at 3:00.  Alternatively, he will also be at the classroom door with me this morning when I greet the class at 8:50.

I hope you have an excellent week and an amazing Christmas.  Please remember to keep the Withers baby and its parents in your prayers as we embark on this brave new adventure.  We will keep in touch and let you know how we are doing.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Andrea Withers
