Dear Grade Six Parents,

The day of our Victoria trip is tomorrow and the students are beyond excited!

Today you should have received a bright yellow notice with detailed reminders about the trip (what to bring, what to wear, and drop off and pick up times to name a few)   If you did not receive this notice, I am attaching it below for your convenience.

In addition, I am attaching a detailed schedule for the day.  We will make every effort to stick to this schedule.  Please note that our return time is approximate.

I have carefully chosen both driving groups and supervising groups for our trip which I will inform students about upon their arrival tomorrow morning.  Your child will be supervised by myself and parent volunteers at all times while in Victoria.  On the ferry, please note that we will using the buddy system.  Parent supervisors will be stationed strategically around the ferry and student pairs will have to check in with myself or a parent if they wish to go to a new area of the boat.

Parent Drivers/Supervisors:

Mrs. Varju, Mrs. Bromley, Mrs. Lawrence, Mrs. Carey, Mr. Manzano,

Mr. Guilmant-Smith, Mr. Martorella, Mr. Hume, Mrs. Paramby, Mrs. Strik

Non-driving Supervisors:

Mrs. Weeks, Mrs. Calvo

Car Insurance Forms:

Today or yesterday you should have received a blue and white notice regarding car insurance for parent drivers.  To clear up any confusion, please note that this notice came from the office and not from me.  It was sent to all families in the school via the youngest child in the family.  It is a relatively new school policy that all field trip drivers must comply with.  If you are not driving on our Victoria trip, Mr. Fraser has assured me that you can return this form to the office at your convenience.

Notice for Victoria Drivers only:

You will need to fill out the white portion of the car insurance form and hand it to me tomorrow morning before we leave.  Please check your child’s agenda for the form.  I will have extra copies of this form on hand tomorrow, but due to time constraints it would be preferable to have the form already filled out by the time you arrive.

It is a very brief form and should take less than two minutes.  You may hand in the required photocopy of your actual insurance papers at a later date.

Thank you again for your cooperation and support.  I look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning bright and early!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Andrea Withers
