Wednesday is National Pink Shirt Day, and we will be observing it at school with a dress down day. PLEASE DON’T RUSH TO THE STORE to buy a pink shirt just for Wednesday. We will make pink paper badges in the morning so if your child doesn’t own any pink clothing they will still be participating in pink shirt day with their badge. This is not a fund raiser for a charity, so you don’t need to bring a twonie this time.
This fits in nicely with the Fins Friends program that we’ve been using in the primary grades. This week we’ve been talking about acceptance, is it okay to be different? YES! When your child comes home on Wednesday ask them what Fin thinks of Pink Shirt Day.
