Dear Kindergarten Families,

A few items were sent home in your child’s folder……

– We just received the notes on Thursday about the Early Childhood Screening program that will take place at school on Tuesday November 15th.  Richmond Public Health will be screening each kindergarten child for hearing and vision.  Please contact them if you have any questions.

– On Thursday November 17th we are going on our first field trip of the year.  Please read, sign and return the permission slip by Wednesday.  Just a reminder that if you volunteer to drive you must have a booster seat for every child (we have extras at school).  Also please no siblings.

– If you wish to order from Scholastic please have your orders in by Friday November 18th.  Let us know if you want us to “secretly” hand your order to you.  There are a lot of great books that would be perfect Christmas gifts.  Come and ask us if you need some help choosing appropriate books.

– Our school mass on Friday November 18th involves some of the Kindergarten students.  We asked for volunteers to read the Prayers of the Faithful.  The following children brought their short prayer home to practice:  Bella, Trevor, Nicholas, Olivia, Kaitlin.  Tamara and Chiara volunteered to bring up the Gifts with their Grade Four buddies.  Later in the year the kindergartens will have another opportunity to volunteer to participate in our school mass.

– We hope your children shared their two poppy crafts with you.  We were very impressed with how much they knew about Remembrance Day.

Enjoy your long weekend!  See you on Tuesday!
