Our lovely little apple tree took a tumble. Do you remember how many apples where on the tree in June? Well they have gotten so heavy over the summer that our poor little tree fell right over. We picked 75 lbs of apples off it, and with that weight gone we were able to right it, and brace it in place. There are still more apples on the tree that I hope will be there in September so you can all pick an apple. But to help out the tree, if you are ever near the school, please stop by and give the tree a bucket or two of water. It will thank you!  In the meantime my kids and I will be chopping apples so you can bake yummy apple desserts in the fall.

If you come visit the garden you will see that many things are finished like the peas, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and broccoli, but some things are just getting going like the tomatoes, pumpkins and quinoa.  The quinoa plants look lovely and their flowers are just starting to form.  I will harvest during the summer so we can feast this fall.

Looking forward to seeing you all in September!
