Dear Parents, just a quick note to update you on what’s happening in Gr. 4.
1. Math quiz on Monday: patterns-identify and extend a pattern. Also, solving problems using all four operations. You child needs to determine which operation to use.
2. Science: a) effects of extreme weather events (floods, thunderstorms, hail…) on living and nonliving things. b) weather affects living and nonliving things. c) how living things adapt to seasonal changes (think adaptations!)
3. Social Studies: Copper Inuit research- read from their textbooks and other resources (reader and info sheets) how the traditional Copper Inuit met their basic needs. Your child will be researching and reporting on only one of the 3 basic needs. We will be doing this in class during the next week and upon our return after the Christmas break.
