Dear Parents, please note the children will be completing the online FSA for Reading Comprehension on Thursday with Mr. Girard and Mr. Fraser. They will complete the online FSA for Numeracy the following Thursday, Feb. 9th. On Monday and Wednesday of the week of Feb. 6th they will be completing 2 more components with me in the classroom: Reading Comprehension and Short Writing, each 30 minutes in duration. As the week of Feb. 13th is a short week, they will only be completing the Numeracy written response which is 30 min. in duration. This will probably be on the Monday or Tuesday. The final component, the longer Written response, is 60 min. in duration and will be completed on the Monday or Tuesday. I will let the children know the exact dates for the final two components closer to the date. I don’t want to tire them out so I like to space out the assessments.
On another note, I would like to let you know that the reason you have not been asked to send money toward the in class field trip we had a few weeks ago is because of the funds donated by the Parent Support Group. They covered the whole cost of the field trip which was $9.00 per child. Many thanks to them!
