Dear Kindergarten Families,
It is hard to believe that there are only 8 weeks of school left. We have been working very hard in Kindergarten and learning lots of new things! We have also been having lots of fun! What a great class we have!
The biggest news…….our baby chicks will be hatching this week. They should start to hatch late Tuesday or early Wednesday. It is very “eggciting”! The boys and girls are keeping track of the growing chicks progress. We even had a discussion on Friday about “Which came first the chicken or the egg?”. The class was split in the middle with their answers. Some great theories and reasons for their choices. Please pop in on Wednesday or Thursday morning to see if we have our newest additions to Kindergarten. The chicks will be picked up by “Farmer Clayton” late Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.
The Kindergartens are very excited that our chicks “cousins” just hatched at Immaculate Conception school in Vancouver. Our Kindergarten class has become penpals with the Kindergarten Class at Immaculate Conception School. We have been sending pictures, drawings, paintings, books and letters back and forth. We hope to get together with our Penpals in June. More details to follow.
More news in K………we just planted tomato seeds that have been to space, we have bean plants and radishes growing, we just had Baby Angelo (Chiara’s brother) come in for a visit and Baby Gabriella (Charlie’s sister) will be visiting next week!
Thank you for attending the Student Led Conferences. The children were so excited to be the teacher. Please continue to come in on Friday mornings to look at all of the wonderful work that is taking place in our class!
We are also preparing for Wednesday night. Our Art Fair begins at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you and your families.
Thank you for your continued support!
