On Thursday, December 13th, an artist will be in our midst.

His name is Mr. Paul Best, and although the students know him as a frequent substitute at our school, he is also an accomplished print-maker who is eager to share his gifts with St. Joe’s.

This Thursday, the students from Grades Six and Seven will participate in a print-making workshop with Mr. Best. Using special materials and equipment, they will learn the techniques needed to create their own original works of art. Students do not need to bring anything but an old shirt, an enthusiastic attitude and the rough draft of an image (which we will work on during Art class on Tuesday).

We look forward to this unique opportunity for the students to learn a new skill and expand their artistic repertoires.

Sincerely,

Ms. Phillips and Mr. Withers
