Dear Grade Six Parents,

As you know, at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26th, there is a school-wide assembly celebrating Autism Awareness. In planning our contribution for the assembly, the Grade Six students listened to several songs written about Autism and voted on which one they wanted to perform. They chose a hopeful song sung from the point of view of someone with Autism. The Grade Six version of  “Through My Eyes” will be set to a slideshow featuring kids celebrating the gifts and challenges of being different. The assembly promises to impart a sense of optimism and build a new level of understanding about Autism. If you are interested in joining us for the assembly, we would be happy to have you there to watch. Thank you for the compassion and openness you are teaching your children.

Sincerely,

Ms. Phillips
