Dear Grade Six Parents,
Given that Friday was the day after Halloween, I postponed our math quiz until Monday. The quiz will be on material up to page 27 in Jump Math.
What will be on this ten-point quiz?
– Find rules for t-tables (as in the previous quiz)
– fill in t-tables for increasing sequences (as in the previous quiz)
– Express the rules as algebraic formulas, for example,
input x 3+2= output might look like ix3+2=x
– Unlike last week’s quiz, This week’s rules include two operations (multiplying and either adding or subtracting) which students have been working on in their daily math assignments
– Bonus Word problem involving increasing sequences
I will give a quick review of these concepts on Monday before the quiz, in case any students have questions about the material.
