Congratulations to St. Joe’s Destination Imagination members in Grades Six and Seven. Our two school teams, The Little Piggies and the Neon Moustaches won first and second place respectively at the Regional Competition. Both teams’ main event was an improvisational challenge combining several historical and nonsensical elements into one skit. Miss Nevada, Miss Mendoza and myself were pleased with the teams’ achievements.
The event took place on Saturday at Burnaby North Secondary School. Both teams showed excellent teamwork, problem solving skills and creativity. Representing Grade Six, Nikka Adrias, Jessica Agregado, Angelina Schwarz, Isabelle Lam, Benjamin Williams, Jordan Tuazon-Cabido, Isaiah Flores, Tim Choi and Jaden Sequeira gave stellar performances. In Grade Seven, Alyssa Cabrera, Emily Chu, Denise Pereira and Justin Paquette made us extremely proud.
A special thank you goes out to the parents who traveled to lend their support, watch the teams perform, and provide transportation.
