The forecast is not looking promising for this coming Thursday, and so the Grade 7 class will not be hiking on that day. I am still trying to schedule the hike for some time in the next week or two, and I will let you know which day has been selected as soon as possible. We will be asking for drivers and supervisors at that time.  Thank you for your support.

The Grade 7 students are preparing for their first Math test of the year next Tuesday, September 30th. The test will be on the topic of coordinate geometry. The students will be completing review activities in class over the next few days, and are strongly encouraged to speak with me if they have any questions or concerns about the subject matter. Their Math Links textbook and their notes are both great resources that can help them review.  The students are also encouraged to review their assignments and quizzes.

The students are also working on their first project of the year – on archaeology. They received a criteria sheet yesterday, and will be given some class time to work on the assignment over the next week. The students will also need to work on the project at home. This project is due on Tuesday, October 7th.

Finally, Mr. G. has asked me to let you know that the boys and girls volleyball teams each have a game against St. Paul’s scheduled for this Thursday, September 25th. The games will be here at St. Joe’s, and will end by 4:30pm.
