Next week, the Grade Seven students will be heading to the Real Canadian Superstore to stock Christmas hampers for the children in six local families. The exact day and time has yet to be set, and I will let you know once this has been done. As I mentioned at Meet the Teacher night in September, students will be asked to contribute $20 of their own money to this cause, whether this means using their savings or doing extra chores around the house to earn the money.

The Grade Seven students are preparing for a Math test this coming Friday, November 28th. The test is on the topic of decimals, and will include questions on place value, estimation, arithmetic, and problem solving. To study for the test, students can review their notes, their assignments and their quizzes.  Students are encouraged to approach me with any questions they have before the test.

There will also be a Science test on “Cycles in Ecosystems” next Tuesday, December 2nd. I will be giving the students an outline of the exact vocabulary words and topics they should study tomorrow. All of the material they will need to review can be found in Sections 2.1 and 2.2 of their textbooks.
